About This Page

This site originally started as a place to post a handful of pics of my car and racing events, but has expanded over time. If you're not an auto enthusiast, you might not understand why someone would bother making a site about a car, and hardly an exotic one at that. If you esteem your car no more than a microwave oven or dryer, pushing the lever and assuming it will work, you probably won't get it. To some of us, automobiles are more than appliances - when pressed, they excite four of the five senses (taste usually just goes along for the ride). Our cars are the ones with three pedals, because anything less would make life extremely dull.

To quote an Infiniti commerical: "Own one, and you'll understand."

The really nerdy part isn't the pocket-protector-and-slide-rule aura of having a website. It's the car bit. If you only knew. This rarely updated lump of text pales in comparison.

I don't exactly drive my car like everyone else. I flog it. I race it. I put magnetic numbers on the side, bolt on sticky R-compound tires, and push it to the limits of cohesion. If you think that's absolutely crazy, I'm sure there's a wonderful, soul-draining situation drama/comedy/reality show on T.V. right now that you'll love.

In the 1971 film Le Mans, Steve McQueen's character says: "Racing is life. Everything else is just waiting."

I don't get to go play all the time, so I guess that's part of the reason you're reading this.

Greasy bits: Some stuff was made using obscure software on a Mac clone. Other stuff was made on a PC clone. I don't care about platforms and don't like computers anymore. All HTML is coded by hand in a text editor, homemade just like Grandma used to do.
